Premium Vacuum clamping Kits
Introducing our premium RAL Series vacuum clamping kits.
These kits contain all you need to get started with your vacuum operation, comprising of;
- RAL Series vacuum table
- Venturi vacuum generator
- Clamping force booster
Our RAL Series vacuum tables are constructed of tempered cast aluminium (20 mm thickness) and are of a more solid construction than our basic R series (12 mm thickness).
The features of this table are a narrower grid than the R series, work-piece stop collars and a thread grid on the surface of the table.
Why are these features useful?
A narrower grid allows the machinist to vacuum more complex shapes than on the R series.
By reducing the grid to 10 mm rather than 20 mm which is standard on the R series the RAL will allow positioning the sealing cord a lot less time consuming.
On the side of the table where the vacuum ports are located are work-piece stop collars.
These allow the user to place their sheet or part square against the table.
Simply by raising the stop collar with a hex key and locking the collar in place you can then vacuum clamp your part using the vacuum port and once the part has been held down you can simply reverse the process by releasing the stop collars and laying them flat.
This will now allow your tooling to pass safely over your sheet or part without causing damage to the table.
Another very useful feature of this table is the addition of a grid thread on the surface.
This thread is situated along the surface at every 100 mm.
The thread serves to allow you to attach a milling vise or chuck to your table.
This would be used when you have a part that is not suited for vacuum clamping such as one that is perhaps cylindrical or uneven.
You may not wish to have the inconvenience of removing the table every time this situation arises, so this feature allows you to overcome this problem.
It also serves another useful purpose. If you perhaps have a part that is relatively small where vacuum surface area is limited.
By attaching perhaps T slot clamp or an eccentric slice you can increase the holding force of your table than just utilising vacuum alone.
